when you are brushing and combing her have her stand on a higher surface like the table or washer/dryer. have then stand and not lay down. this makes it easier so they will get used to standing up on the grooming table. also like suggested before handle their face, ears, and feet a lot. pretend your cutting nails and plucking ears.
i did a 6 month old maltipoo yesterday who the owner brushes and combs everyday. the dogs hair was 5 inches long and very poofy. i was so happy the dog was used to being brushed and combed because she let me do it no problem. she was used to laying down or sitting while doing it which was a problem that we had to fix but she did well for her first time. she was not happy about having her ears plucked and cleaned so that was something the owner needed to work on. she was pretty good for everything else because she'd been exposed to it every day. it was a good groom
