I have 4 yorkies. Princess and Littlebit are real friendly. They love everybody they see. Jasper is friendly but has to get to know a stranger first. Now Chico is a different story...he actually bit my son haha didn't draw blood or anything but was just telling him to back off lol. Chico does not like strangers at first. Chico has to greet them on his own terms. If someone comes in my house and goes right to pet him, he dont like it and actually would bite. I do wish i could do something about this, i dont like for him to be that way but i dont know what to do. I always have to crate him when i see someone coming in because im afraid he might bite them if they go to pet him first. If someone comes in and ignores him and makes no contact with him and lets him come to them first, after a while he is fine with them. But most people won't listen to what i tell them and they want to go right to him and pet him and then if he tries to bite them, even after i tell them to make no contact with him, they want to blame the dog. But hes my baby so i will just have to deal with it. |
