I would deff check out the people Imperez mentioned the next time you need to leave your babies. I have not boarded my pets since I worked at a vets office and saw just how stressfull it is on them. Think about it , that's the scariest place there is for your pet. That's where they get shots(ouch) that's where they get knocked out and have sergery ( no fun there) That's where they have stitches removed (oooh pinch) That's where they get things stuck in their ears for cleaning and infactions (very painfull) It's no wonder they don't want to eat well when they are boarded there. How well can you eat when you are stressed? And we did everything we could to make them comfy, I carried a few aruond in my shirt because they were so scared. But they can smell the fear from the other animals being hospitalized and all the barking oh my goodness some of the little ones would shake so much I thought they would shake out of their skin. Need I say more? Just make sure they keep the little ones seperated from the big ones wherever you take them, and always leave emergency contact numbers and your vets number as well. When I have to leave my pets, they stay home and I have someone come to them. I always let my vet know I will be out of town and let them know they have my permission to treat for anything and everything while I'm gone and I leave my credit card with them. But thats me, I'm completly neurotic when it comes to my pets. All my pets are rescues and came from pretty bad situations , so I promised every one of them they would always be safe and loved for the rest of their lives. I would have to hurt someone if they ever hurt or neglected any of them. |
