What I do like about the Silkie Standard is that there is no weight standard and color of the coat isn't as precise as in the Yorkie Standard and as an exhibitor/breeder that coat color is so difficult to get right.

But, standing ringside getting ready to go in the ring, and in the next ring there is the Silkie you definately see the difference in the breeds. Not only in their structure, size, coat, but in their movement.

Barb Biessel a great yorkie breeder and one of the great handlers, handles Silkies too, states there is a definate differance in their temperament too.
