I don't want to say Jackson is unfriendly by any means, because he's not. He's just shy with strangers.
If he doesn't know you, he's not going to run right up to you happily and allow you to pet him! He
takes his time but once he knows you, oh my God! He is ALL over you! People like my close friends,
grandparents, parents, siblings, etc, he gets sooooo excited to see them! Once he's comfortable around
you (which usually means being with a stranger for 1 hour at least), then he will let you pet him, etc.
Now with dogs, he LOVES all other dogs, that's another story. He will be more reserved and shy
with the bigger dogs at first but after about 60 seconds, he's sooo excited! He's more of a dog dog than
a human dog, lol. If that makes sense. Something I also find interesting is that when we're at the dog park,
he's a lot more willing to go right up to a stranger and accept a nice petting. It's crazy, it's like he's in his
element and feels most comfortable when other dogs are around.
