I agree with Carmen....I would never send a puppy home at 11 weeks let alone 8oz. But, then I would never sell a dog that small, I wouldn't sell possible heartache. Most reputable breeders wouldn't, they would place (no fee) the pup in a qualified home that understood the ramifications of owning one so small. Also, informing the new owners that there maybe added vet fees that they could incurr.
I hold all my pups until 12 weeks of age and 2 pounds and if they don't reach 2 pounds by that age, they are held longer.
