I just had the same thing with my 6 month old yorkie. The vet thought maybe it was ringworm but it didn't glow under blacklight and it was raised and plaqued over with black scale. We did the skin culture, 12 days later it was positive for fungus but they didn't know what type. If I wanted it typed they would need to send it out for an additional fee. I opted just to get the spray antifungal and go from there. On the original visit they had also given me animax, this helped to remove the plaque but for lack of a better word the "lesion" was still there. The spray is working much better.
