 Doesn't know how to play with toys!
I adopted my lil 7 year old about a week ago, and when I tried to play with her with some toys (a soft disc, a tennis ball and one of those tug ropes) and she just looks at them all confused like she has no idea what to do with them! She won't even fetch.
Is there an easy way to get her to play? I have heard of using the toys that you put treats in, but since we are also trying to train her for basic commands we don't want to give her even MORE treats.
Are treat toys really the best way to introduce toys to a dog? Will that even get them to understand to play? |
