My dog sometimes has this too. It is small puddles of liquid. I never thought of it as a serious problem, just that maybe he wasn't feeling well and didn't eat anything so he threw up bile. I think the bile is the yellowy stuff and it's foamy as he hasn't eaten anything. He will accept a treat after and drink water ... I am not sure what it is. I don't think it's serious, but I can't be sure. Looking forward to hearing some other answers.
