When we brought Cassie, our little rescued shih tzu, home she was the same way with the bassett hound we had. Dixie would get all bent out of shape and leave her nice comfy spot too. But let me tell you, I have the cutest photos of the two of them cuddled up together. They got tight not too long after Cassie came to stay. She just wouldn't give up.
