First of all, CONGRATS!!!! So exciting to have a new baby at home...But, in answer to your question, you are so fortunate to be home w/your baby, and be able to take her out often...I work, and tried to pad train Apple, and it just never happened...I never got her trained, 'till I removed my carpet in the living room/dining room....I think, no matter what you use, you can never get all of the scent out of the carpet (pad), and she was always tempted...The kitchen and entry hall are tiled...Once I got the carpet removed, it was only a couple of weeks 'till she was trained...She was about 10 months old...It's just lots of praise, when she goes (outside) and always always always gets a treat! Everytime she goes outside I tell her good girl, then I say lets got get a treat!!! Her treats are a steamed green bean or steam carrot piece...She loves them...I think, for us, when I relaxed, and just praised and treated, Apple "got it"....I think your baby will be trained long before my Apple, since you are home, and willing to take the time to be consistent...All the best to you and your new baby
