I just read the rest of these...you don't need to tear up the patio if it slopes a bit. Ours is on a concrete patio. we just placed a treated wood frame 2 inch high directly on the concrete(we made the potty pen 30 inches by 8 feet) we put 3/4 inch crush rock in the frame and Eva goes right on the rock. so the 2ft high mesh fence goes around this entire rock area. When she pees it drains between the rock and down the slope of the patio so she never steps in it. I rinse the rock off very often too. I am loving it, it is so clean.
