I agree, especially if you really like this pup. You can handle both, the vet is probably going to want Toby confined to his crate for the first week anyhow. How did the vet diagnose the LP? Did he do an x-ray to confirm Toby's LP? LP is genetic which means you need to contact Toby's breeder and let her know that one of her dogs is carrying the gene.
