Very interesting idea. I wouldn't put it past him. He is quite the manipulator (does the shaking thing as we have to leave for the day too). I think you have something here.
I think I'll try what Chachi suggested - leave the harness on while we're at home. While we're out I don't want anything on him for safety reasons.
If we ever want to calm him down and have him run a lot less - we put clothes on him or a fashion collar - takes the spunk right out of him ...
