Okay, so if the litter box is in the kitchen and we are playing in the living room, should I move the box until he is fully trained/older or would that confuse him? Should I get additional boxes?
I would keep the box within 5 feet away from him at all times. Make it as easy as possible for him to find it, it won't confuse him at all. I use to keep Joeys's pad on a tray with a small lip, much like a cookie sheet. After he got to be a certain age, he would not go on the tray anymore, I don't know if the small lip spooked him or what. I've read similar accounts with litter boxes, some people have had success, but so many others have not. If he suddenly starts refusing to use the litter box, don't force it. Best of luck!
