Lewie attached to my husband right away and I'm hoping my little girl will do the same with me. Is a 10 month old fully grown?
After listening in I've gathered that breeding these two would be wrong, is that correct and why exactly?
After a bath, Lewis scootches all over the carpet, I say he doesn't like to be wet, my husband says he's a happy dog.....who's right if either?
We always have questions and I'm constantly "searching the web" for answers and never get the answers. This forum has provided me with/more info than any other source. For this reason we joined immediatley. I am very interested in "everything" Pat says as she appears to be very knowledgeable.
We would appreciate any help we can get!!!

You should have no problem bonding with a 10 month old baby girl, she should warm up shortly after the scarey plane trip, keep her close to you specially the first few days.
Your baby is not full grown at the age of 10 months there are slow growers and there are fast growers, most of their weight, length and height is within the first year but a dog is not fully grown until about 2-3 years old and coat color doesnt mature for 2 years plus.
Breeding your 7 lbs male to a much smaller female should not be done you could jepordize the health of your female and may even lose her during birthing the puppies would be too large, my recommendation is to neuter your male before she comes so NO ONE IS TEMPTED.
Scoothes his bottom? if that be the case perhaps take him to a groomer or a vet and have them clear the anal gland, usually only has to be done once and it should stop unless of course you think he is just drying himself off.
hope this helps
