Jackson is like half independent/half dependent... he's not a real lovebug during the day, but during the mornings and nights, oh my gosh, he is a snuggler with his mama! Or I'm sitting in the couch watching TV, he will jump up and just lay as close as he can to me. If I'm in a room, and he can see me but can't get to me, separation anxiety mucho, LOL - he will whine and bark until he can be with me. Yet if I'm in the room, he acts like he wants nothing to do with me. Psh, all lies. He loves loves loves all other dogs and would spend 24/7 at the dog park if he could! He's very shy with people he does not know and doesn't let you just reach down and pet him but if he knows you it's a different story... he will give you a BIG greeting, filled w/ kisses, jumps and everything above. He's SO smart... almost too smart for his own good
He enjoys performing his tricks for anyone and everyone unless he's
really really distracted but he will almost do anything for a treat. He's pretty well behaved except for a few things like food begging. He's very laidback at home and is happy to just chill, however put him outside at a dog park or something, he's very very active and will run for 2 hours! He's pretty much always been trustworthy in the house when we're not here so from about 6 months on, he's had almost free reign minus the upstairs. Sometimes, if he is bored he will just stare at me, or come and bring me a toy. He's spoiled but he's not a brat and that's what I aimed for! He's the best dog I could have asked for.
