Joey caught on pretty fast that he was suppose to go on the pad, but I crate trained him at night and put him on the pad, once during the night, and first thing in the morning. However, as I said before, he would not go 10 feet to seek out a pad, the pad always had to be within 4 or 5 feet from him. He learned fastest on the wood floors, and the carpeted areas took longer. Don't expect to much until they are 7 months old, but if you can get them at 90 percent, that's really good, and be sure to have an enzyme cleaner to clean mistakes in carpet, otherwise they will return to the spot. Nature's Miracle works great if you follow directions, and buy the gallon size!
