Default Help! Something's wrong

First off I wanna let you all know that I plan to call the vet today.
Okay here's what's up. The thurs. before last my husband and I were in the parking lot of the grocery store with Logan, well Logan went over to say hi to some ladies and was being his normal self and all of the sudden he picked up his left front leg and wouldn't put it down. I didn't see him do anything. So I picked him up right away and everytime I touched near his, lets say, elbow he would whine. So the ladies suggested I run him over to the vet across the street. Which I did. The door was locked because they were doing surgery so I knocked and the vet assistant came to the door. The whole time I was waiting for her Logan was whining and acting like he was in pain. But the minute she came to the door he was fine. She had me put him on the floor and he walked around like nothing was wrong. And then she felt and stretched his leg, but found nothing wrong. So I thought maybe he had a cramp or wanted attention or something and forgot about it.

Well last night he was playing fetch with us and he came running to jump up on the couch. Well the minute he got up on the couch he put that same leg up again. So I grabbed him and started to rub it. After about a minute he stopped whining so I stopped and he went and laid down on the couch and then I guess he moved and it hurt so he started whining again. So I rubbed it some more and then put him on the ground to see if he could walk on it. He tried to walk on it and totally wiped out, it was so sad. So I freaked out and called my mom who said it could be growing pains or anything and to wait til morning and call the vet (this was at 9:30), well after I got off the phone with my mom, the whole time I was holding Logan and rubbing his leg. I gently put him on the floor and went to the kitchen for some water and he trotted after me like nothing was wrong. So I don't know what to think. Anyone have any thoughts.

By the way Logan is 6 months old and weighs 8 lbs
