I am SO thrilled to be here! We just got our 4 year old yorkie, Sunny, yesterday. She was a rescue from a puppy mill. She has the sweetest personality, and other than a little bit of a startle reflex, you'd never know she has had a rough 4 years of life. She is lovable and sociable and is pottying outside very well! (We have just been taking her out ourselves, not letting her out on her own yet.)
She's only about 5 or 6 pounds--I'm a little worried that she may not be able to get down the deck stairs outside to the yard by herself. Also, we are afraid to let her jump down from the sofa or futon. Not sure how to know if she can do it without hurting herself--she is so little! Am I worrying too much? We just keep taking her up and down the steps ourselves and putting her down from the sofa.
We are so excited to have her as part of our family!
