My sister took Adderal and she eventually after about 3 or 4 years I think, had to peel herself off of it. I don't know if the drug itself has any addictive ingredients in it, but she was highly addicted. We almost wanted to commit her to get her off of it.

It wasn't really doing anything for her anymore that it was supposed to do, but she depended on the pill horribly for whatever reason. She doesn't have an addictive personality either so it was out of character for her.

I don't know what kind exactly she took, it was the one you can take it every 6 hours? Or something along that line. Little blue pill. I personally think it made her more 'mood swing'y when she was 'withdrawing' from not having it. She wanted to take it more like every 3 hours and after the first year or so they finally told her whoever lives in her house with her has to be 'set' and speak to the doctor about administering the pill to her so she won't take them all the time..
