Is your boy neutered?
It sounds like he is marking, completely different from just your normal potty training. It takes longer and more patience to train them when this is the case.
I would suggest wearing a belly band on him until he is trained. That way at least all of your furniture and stuff is protected from him peeing on it.
What's his food schedule like? Do you free fed?
Remember the more water he drinks the more he is going to mark.
