 Seeking advice on dog whos just weened her pups
I have adopted a 7 year old (as some of you may know) who was used as a breeder.
I have no knowledge of dog behavior and such after giving birth and weening puppies.
She still has swollen boobies and the 2 on the backmost near her 'girly parts' are full like they still have milk, though has gone down a little bit.
She goes into these fits of itching or licking I can't tell exactly, it looks like she's irritated at her 'girl parts'? It doesn't happen a lot just 1 or 2 times a day, usually at night but I guess now I notice it's not 'just' at night.
I had another thread called 'night itches' but I decided to make a new one with new information since I am starting to think it's related to her body changes or whatever from having puppies, and was suggested I might seek advice on people experience with breeding yorkies.
Does this sound familiar to anyone whos experienced on breeding yorkies? And also could give more advice on what to expect, if anything? |
