I have a copy of an AKC letter, written to one of the 2 parties who were responsible for getting the parti's registered. The letter in part reads:
"After conduction research into the breed history and receiving information and photographs of the dogs contained in your dog's pedigree, it was determined that this color can be produced in otherwise normal litters of Yorkshire Terriers. It is the Committees decision to maintain the registration of the involved litters and their individual members."
This letter was dated June 26, 2000. Letter was signed by Jack Norton, special services department.
I guess that means the investigation would have started in early 1999, if it took 18 months.
