I read alot about people saying the xr causes the anxiety and irritibility that I was having.. It kind of feels like real bad restless leg syndrome combined with anxiety but I dont know if that is from the XR or the dosage is to high.. Dr wasn't sure which one it was either and left it up to me to either change meds, lower dosage or stop all together.. Sorry I wasn't of more help! I can tell you're doing the best that you can. I'm sorry your DR isn't helping you more. He/she should be helping you some in this decision. (Is there a good RN or ARNP in the office you could ask as well?)
From what I'd heard the XR can affect people differently. In the end though, it's probably best to find something that works for you. If you're experiencing bad side effects the positive effects of the meds may not even be worth it! I say either try a lower dosage or switch meds all together. From what you're describing, you were having rather severe reactions, enough that you were smart to stop taking it (given the option). See if a lower dosage effects you the same (side effect and positive effect wise). If not another med might work. I don't know anything about Vyvanse other than that it's rather new (and since I was working with the state we didn't have that readily available so I'm not familiar with it).
BEST OF LUCK!!!
