Eva does this too. Right when we put her on our bed and we are getting ready. I think it is a little nervous habit, like some separation anxiety. When we first got her she scratched when we took her out to potty. She would look over her shoulder at us all nervous and worried then start scratching. It took a few days and lots of treats and she seemed more at ease and stopped doing it. But she still does it just before having to go in her crate. Can't wait until she is old enough to sleep freely on our bed.
