If so, you might be better off reading over the resuce adoption contracts and changing those to fit your needs. I am researching the same thing because I adopted Bella knowing there is a good chance she's pregnant. I think the AKC breeders contracts cover a lot more than I will need, like breeding rights, AKC paperwork, replacement puppies, deposits, etc.
I just want to make sure any home I place puppies in will not be using them for breeding ( Yorkie Poos are a really popular designer mutt right now, so thats a big concern) and that if it doesn't work out, I get the pups back, or atleast a say in where they go.
Most of Bella's pups ( if there are any) will be placed in family and friends homes, but I'm still going to have them sign a contract, just because you never know. |
Yes, I think you are right. A rescue adoption contract is more likely what I need. I agree a breeders contract has so much more that just does not apply. Thank you fro your input. It was very helpful. |
