I don't see that the size of the pup would have anything to do with whether she had a temperature drop or not. I have had females have the temperature drop but I have also had a number of them that went into labor without the temperature drop. I really don't trust the temperature drop to tell me when they are going into labor. It is bothersome to the mommas to have their temperature taken all the time and it is just not totally dependable so I go more by other signs. I have seen many puppy watches here on yt where the momma ran a low temperature for many days before delivery pups. It can drive you crazy. Good luck with your whelping.
