The previous owner said that she let Lolli outside only about 2 times a day (before and after work). My mom seems to think that 4 to 6 times is more necessary.

For me, once I get another job I won't be able to walk her that many times a day and I think that she will learn through routine when she has to potty and then she will have to be retrained with a new schedule when that happens.

So if anyone has a general rule of thumb, could you let me know? I'm not sure what is a normal amount of times to take the dog out, if 2 or 3 times is ok or if 5 or 6 is more normal.
