I got both of mine a cake at Wal-Mart. They have a cake made with small cupcakes and it's iced to look like a Yorkie. I got the vanilla cupcakes and white icing. I gave them just a small taste of the icing and a small bite of cupcake. Then they got their birthday presents and were distracted enough I could take the cake away. The cake was cute, I could not let their birthdays go by without a cake. I know they should not have sweets but I don't think the teeny bite they had hurt them. I spend too much money at the vet to give them anything that is going to make them sick.
