The reason for this was that our other Yorkie Shasta (RIP) who passed away after Christmas 2007 when she was four was cut on her urethra area I imagine from the clippers on one occasion when I took her to get groomed. This particular groomer did not even bother to tell me about it then I noticed her shaking, likely in pain, when I brought her home and on inspection I saw the lacertation. I called them up right away to discuss the matter and they really were not even that sorry at the time. I was so angry and sad for Shasta. After that incident then I decided I'd learn to groom her myself. I don't do a perfect job but at least I know my babies will be safe with me. Also, I think the more you groom them the faster it becomes, as you become more proficient and comfortable with the process.

wow cory, that is a shocker. i must look into doing it myself. i didn't know that some groomers put them in tub full of water. mine washes them in the tub but uses a hand shower to rinse
