The YTCA Breeder Referral's job is to ensure that inquiries are sent to the best possible breeders. The person will only send them to the best of the best. This person is familiar with everyone's breeding program.
I know that when I refer people to specific breeders I am very familiar with their breeding practices and always prescreen potential new families before referring them. When I send people to YTCA.org,it's up to the person to do their homework from there.
Being a member of YTCA or a regional club and getting on their referral list is not the main purpose of members. Since most members are exhibitors first and primarily breed for themselves. So, when people are looking for pup from a YTCA member, it's pretty much hit or miss....since we breed minimally and don't always have puppies available....Same with most regional clubs.
