I am by far no expert but someone had mentioned in another thread where their female was marking on top of male scent was a sign of the dog trying to establish being the 'leader'. Females do mark territory the same as males do.
I don't know anything about how to change her potty time around if it's possible, but if she has to get up in the middle of the night and go, maybe you can try waking up at that time to take her outside so that she can learn that you poopie outside and not inside? Some dogs just have that where they have to go potty at night. |
