Rimadyl seems to have a bit of a higher reaction rate than other NSAIDs, but in some cases it needs to be used. Then there are people who says all NSAID just have too many side effects. Problem there is they are great for pain control and depending on the situation, it may be kind of questionable to use something else just because pain issues are quality of life issues. If you aren't comfortable with Rimadyl, there are a few other NSAIDs to choose from.
