Max loves to roll and rub against the towel on the floor ( i don't have carpet) or runs to his beds and does the same thing, I need to be careful and not to let him out otherwise he will roll on the grass
.it is a normal behavior.
As far as the claw you were referring to is called dew claw, many breeders have them removed when puppies are just a few days old, my Max never had it removed and for the second time he has gotten hurt.
