Thanks for the response! What I do is carry treats with me, and have gotten him into the habit of coming to me when I call him (in the park) and when he comes I make him sit, stay, and then treat. He does well with this....and I do it throughout the time. I think you are right about the paying attention to the signals. I watch him like a hawk in there, and there are no patterns that I have noticed...he just suddenly snaps while he is playing and gets out of control. I would love to take him to training, but it is soooo pricey around here. Petco was an option, but they said that all they would teach him are the things I have already worked on with him. |
