To answer the original posters question.

I have found rubbing the ears and the top of the head will calm them also I was told by a world known trainer that when the puppy goes to bite GENTLY pry his/ her mouth open for about 2 seconds and do that in repetitions of 5 and your puppy will not LIKE it at all but your puppy will associate that happening every time he/ she goes to bite and she will STOP because she will not want you to pry his/ her mouth like that.
