From my perspective as a buyer, not a breeder, I would never return a puppy after a month and
expect to regain
any of my money. You are actually doing her a favor by being willing to undertake the additional time and expense to find a new home for
her pet.
Of course, this situation is complicated by the fact that she is a friend, no contract was signed, and that I am sure you are concerned with the ultimate placement of the puppy.
That said, my vote is for the following advice:
