I'm right there with you regarding food issues. My girl is 9 mos is still unable to get her on a premium food. I have went through so many, I can't keep count in an attempt. I also tried Innova & Avoderm, nope...wouldn't eat either of those either..or any of the list of many.
She will only eat Royal Canine, was on Puppy 33, but she is now on Yorkshire Terrier 28.
I was just consulting a local pet store owner at lunch and she is going to work with me to see if we can get her on Merrick. Advised I take each piece of food and dip the corner in we can of it, along with her current food until I can slowly ween her off of the RC. She is so picky and only wants the RC is I put water on it, but I do drain it off before she has it.
I believe her chewing hard food issue goes back to when she was spay, they also had to remove 13 baby teeth. My vet was so amazed, said he never seen quite that many left in these little ones, though most do retain a few.
