With dogs it is not a conscious forgiving, they simply to not get mad at you. I knew when I wrote that, that it was going to be questioned.

For a dog to poop in it's bed to get even, would mean that it actually had to reason that pooping in his bed was going to somehow punish you, and know that you would be angry with him and they would be in even more trouble, but yet it would be worth it, to sleep in poop all night, and having you be mad at him just to get back at you.

Now that would be one scary dog.
