Use those itty bitty clips to form the topknot. My boys HATE topknots and will not tolerate them. But those couple weeks before grooming I have to do something to get the hair out of their eyes, they do get eyebrows cut, but not a visor cut anymore, so I use those little tiny hair clips instead of elastics. They don't seem to mind them as much, they don't pull them out in 30 seconds and there is no breakage. Easy to put in and easy to take out each day.
