I believe it was an american dog tick, as my vet had suggested.
Do these pose any threat to humans?
I cannot find the little bugger after he released himself from Bender, but knowing Bender he may have ate the tick
Bender hardly ever goes outside, especially when the rain we've had. Maybe once every 2 days or so. He has a litter box and only goes outside every now and then to get fresh air.
I'm thinking, my roommate often brings over friends (who live out in the country) and they might bring the ticks on them?!?! Crazy idea?
I want to eliminate as many chemicals as I can so I don't use any kinds of prevention. I gave him a good long bath and comed his hair like crazy to make sure there werent any left.
