I saw an episode on Victoria Stillwell where the people got the dog from a shelter and they could not get him to respond to his name ( new name) , anyways, she said to give them a GREAT treat, sit in front of the pup, and start saying the name, each time he/she responds give a treat...make sure you get eye contact... say name when she responds to Molly, give her a treat.. she did it in 5 minute intervals...a few times each day and each time the dog responded it got a GREAT treat.. few days later the dog responded to his name...
