Seriously.....here is a trick that might work. I drape my background over my cabinets above my washer and dryer to make a pretty back ground, then I drape it over the washer and dryer. This puts them up high where they pretty much know they can't jump off or go anywhere. THen I have my camera ready and take a picture. Having a clicker or squeekie toy handy will make them perk up and look at you.
THen with the advent of digital cameras what you do is just snap and snap and snap, and discard the ugly pictures, but somewhere in there you are going to (by accident) get this decent shot that looks like it was all posed and perfect, and then people will be writing you and asking YOU how you did it.
