Oh, that is very similar! Your pups were very fortunate to end up with you. Peek went thru 4 homes before mine, and Tink had 2 homes, and her 1st owner bred her before she was a year old! Then, they dropped her at the Humane Society, where she was adopted, but those owners brought her back after her bloodwork showed liver problems.
I cry everytime I think about that.
