Oh my, I'm so sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you! This is my first yorkie too, after the loss of my little mini-pin and my mom's chihuahua, both were 14 yrs in June & July. They both had to be put down one week apart. I so grieved and it was so sad. I knew the time was approaching and I couldn't be without a dog, so my hubby suggested I go ahead and get a yorkie, that I have wanted for so long. I am so glad I did to help me through it. There is no harder heartache than losing your best companion and friend.
I too and totally hung up on the breed now, it gets in your blood. I know I will not have anything else at this point, haha. Now my worry is does Zhoie need a playmate, (a little yorkie sibling), hehe.
If you and your family agree, I'm sure the is plenty of yorkies out there that needs a loving home. Are you thinking of fostering??? You know you pets, how do you think they would accept another dog into the home?
