there are alot of flea pills, sentenal is a good one, and for infestations there is capstone. sentenal is a monthly pill and it will sterilize the fleas and prevent them from laying eggs...Advantix is also good but the dogs have to weigh more then 3lbs for most of these meds. Good luck with the flea problem...
