I think if you're not going to breed then having only one testicle should not cause any health issues? But I am not a vet so not for sure. If he's healthy and all and you two seem to bond I'm thinking you found a wonderful deal!!!
Hopefully once you spend some time visiting him and checking out his personality you will fall in love with him and provide him w/ all the love and devotion this little guy deserves.
