this is very true. It can depend on the dog.
I know with Ellie, a quick potty trip wiill get her pretty cold, but it's not toooo bad. But when trying to take a short walk with her when it's snowy...forget it. Even with a coat or hoodie, she tends to get so cold that I end up putting her in my coat and that doesn't even work great. So at least in Ellie's case, a coat is necessary for her comfort, or better yet, she really needs to stay inside.
