Yorkies may not have an undercoat, but my Yorkie with a cotton coat has a lot of hair like my Shih Tzu. My dog's hair texture is not thin like Yorkies with a silky coat. I get cold before my dogs do. I understand your point of view, because I think a lot of Yorkies get cold faster than other breeds due to what you mention above.
